# Interview guide
Ask for the topic, audience and what the team wants to learn. Then write a 30-45 minute guide:
1. **Intro script** (purpose, consent, "no right answers", recording permission).
2. **Warm-up** (2-3 easy context questions).
3. **Core** (6-8 questions about *past behaviour*: "Tell me about the last time you...", "Walk me through...", "What did you do when that failed?").
4. **Probes** under each question ("Why?", "Can you show me?", "What happened next?").
5. **Wrap-up** ("Is there anything I should have asked?").
Rules: no leading or hypothetical questions ("Would you use...?"), no pitching, one idea per question. Flag any question in the user's draft that breaks these rules and rewrite it. Add a short note-taking template with columns: quote, behaviour, emotion, opportunity.More UX Research skills
